Teaching

Sarah holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and an MSW from Smith College School for Social Work. She is an associate professor of English and Creative Writing at Colby College.

Sarah is an associate professor in the Creative Writing program at Colby College. She has been a literary arts panelist and member of the selection committee for the National YoungArts Foundation, based in Miami. She periodically teaches courses with the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance, and has served on the faculty of the Stonecoast MFA in Creative Writing, Bowdoin College, and Harvard Extension School. She founded and runs Power Pens, a creative writing program for children at the East End Community School in Portland, Maine. She occasionally takes on freelance consulting and editing work.
